Upcoming Club Events

Our May meeting will be Saturday May 17, 2014 - notice this is a change of date from our Wednesday meeting.  The meeting will be at the Westwood Fire Hall 1310 Nichols Rd, Kalamazoo Township, MI 49006.  We will meet at 6:00 pm.  Our speaker will be Steve Repasky, an expert on swarms and managing to prevent swarming.  Steve will also discuss a community apiary project in Pennsylvania.

Resources for Beekeepers

If you ordered bees from AWS bees and the club is picking up your bees for you:  You will receive a phone call from AWS bees 48 hours before the bees are due to arrive.  A representative of our club will go to AWS in Swartz Creek and pick up the bees and bring them back to 1386 108th Ave. Otsego, MI  49078.  You may pick them up after the bees get here from Swartz Creek.  Call 269-692-2328 to verify the bees are ready for pick-up.  The second truck is scheduled for around the end of April, but the dates will depend on the weather.
